Shri. Dhananjay Rambhau Aundhekar has joined as Director (Operations) MSEDCL w.e.f. Thursday, 18th June, 2026 (AN). He is selected for this position through a direct recruitment process.

Before this, he was working as the Executive Director (Distribution/Projects) MSEDCL. Shri. Dhananjay Aundhekar has been working in MSEDCL at various positions for the last 29 years.

Shri. Dhananjay Aundhekar, is originally from Aundha Nagnath (Hingoli district) Maharashtra. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and an MBA in Finance. He has also completed a course as an Energy Auditor and holds an Advanced Certificate in Power Distribution Management from New Delhi with special distinction.

Shri. Dhananjay Aundhekar joined the former Maharashtra State Electricity Board (MSEB) in 1997 as a Junior Engineer at Majalgaon (Beed district). In 2006. He was selected as Executive Engineer through a direct recruitment process. After that, in 2016, he was selected as Superintendent Engineer through direct recruitment. In 2019, Shri. Dhananjay Aundhekar was promoted as Chief Engineer. During his tenure he has worked across various locations of Maharashtra including Beed, Parbhani, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Nashik, Pune, Solapur, Kalyan, and the Mumbai – Head office

Shri. Dhananjay Aundhekar has been working as the Executive Director since 2024. During his tenure, MSEDCL achieved first rank in India for the “Magel Tyala Solar Krishi Pump” Scheme. This Project has also set a Guinness World Record by installing 45,911 Solar Agricultural Pumps in a single month. Furthermore, MSEDCL secured the second position in India for Rooftop Solar Projects under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. MSEDCL became the first Company in India to launch a “faceless-paperless” online facility for this Scheme. It also started an automatic approval process for online applications regarding new electricity connections, customer name changes, and load enhancement in which Shri. Dhananjay Aundhekar played a major role.
