MSEDCL has introduced new methods of complaint registration in case of power failures. These methods are in addition to the existing complaint registration methods.
Missed call based power failure:
- This facility for registration of power failure complaint is available to consumers with registered mobile number only.
- Consumer can give a missed call to telephone number 022-50897100 from the mobile number which is registered with MSEDCL.
- Mobile number is searched in consumer master to identify the consumer number. If no consumer number is found against the mobile number, then consumer will receive the following SMS on his mobile number
Your mobile number is not registered with MSEDCL. Please send sms MREG <12 digit consumer> to 9930399303.
Then, consumer can register his/her mobile number by giving SMS to MSEDCL long code number 9930399303 as below. Consumer registration will be done within 24 hours in consumer master.
MREG <12 Digit Consumer Number>
e.g. MREG 0285*******9
where sample consumer number is 0285*******9
If the same mobile number is registered with more than one consumer, then the first consumer number as per ascending order, will be considered for complaint registration. - If there is no open service request then Supply Failed – Phase Out complaint is automatically triggered in the CRM for this consumer who will receive the confirmation SMS on his mobile number as below:
Dear Consumer, Your request id of Supply Failed-Phase Out is ___ .You can get updated status from consumer portal/App or on toll free no. 1912.MSEDCL
Eg.
Dear Consumer, Your request id of Supply Failed-Phase Out is 00000154****2.You can get updated status from consumer portal/App or on toll free no. 1912.MSEDCL
Where 00000154****2 is sample complaint ID. - If any existing service request of type ‘Supply Failed – Phase Out’ is Open for consumer number, then following SMS will be sent:
Dear consumer, Your Service request id ___ for Cons No ___ is already exists.
Eg.
Dear consumer, Your Service request id 00000154****5 for Cons No 0285*******9 is already exists.
Where 00000154****5 is existing open complaint ID of type ‘Supply Failed – Phase Out’ and 0285*******9 is consumer number.
SMS based power failure:
- Consumer can send SMS on MSEDCL Long Code number 9930399303 as below through his mobile number. Registration of mobile number is not mandatory.
NOPOWER <12 Digit Consumer Number>
Where consumer number is 12 digit as printed on electricity bill
Eg.
NOPOWER 0285*******9
Where Sample consumer number is 0285*******9 - The consumer number submitted through mobile SMS is verified with the consumer master.
If the given consumer number is incorrect/invalid then the following SMS is sent to the mobile number:
Registration through SMS service is available only for valid MSEDCL consumers. Cons no <> is not valid consumer. MSEDCL
The consumer number having invalid format will be given the following sms:
Data submitted through SMS for cons no { } is not in required format. MSEDCL - If consumer number is correct the next step can be executed.
The consumer number is searched in the CRM database. If there is no open service request present in the system for this consumer, then a complaint of type ‘Supply Failed – Phase Out’ is automatically triggered in the CRM for this consumer who will receive the confirmation SMS on his mobile number as below:
Dear Consumer, Your request id of Supply Failed-Phase Out is ___ .You can get updated status from consumer portal/App or on toll free no. 1912.MSEDCL

If any existing service request of type ‘Supply Failed – Phase Out’ is Open for consumer number, then following SMS will be sent:
Dear consumer, Your Service request id ___ for Cons No ____ is already exists.
Eg.
Dear consumer, Your Service request id 00000154****5 for Cons No 0285*******9 is already exists.
Where 00000154****5 is existing open complaint ID of type ‘Supply Failed – Phase Out’ and 0285*******9 is consumer number.
