Payment of Central Excise duty under protest on fabricated materials - Item 68.

       In continution of this office letter No.PR3 CED/33758 dt.27-7- 1982, this is to inform that the Board has accorded approval under B.R.No.367 dt. 9-6-1983 to pay the Central Excise Duty under protest on the materials fabricated in the Board's workshops as and when demanded by the local Central Excise offices, after duly complying the necessary formalities of Central Excise Department.

     Accordingly necessary arrangement may be made for payment of Central Excise Duty under protest as demanded by Central Excise Department on the materials fabricated in the Board's workshops and proper accounts and registers be maintained in terms of the provisions of the Central Excise Rules and Act.
