CIRCULAR

 Sub: Loading of overheads/Centages for small turnkey contracts and for Departmental works.

Field offices are placing small turnkey contracts for works. In this context, it has been noticed from the past experience of the Company that, the rates quoted by the contractors for such works are ranging from (+) 20% to (+) 75% over and above the estimated cost. In order to mitigate such eventualities and with a view of preparation of realistic estimate, the centages/overheads to be loaded in estimates for small turnkey contracts i.e. upto Rs.40.00 Crores have been worked out as given below. All the field Offices are directed to use the following centages while finalising estimates for small turnkey contracts i.e. turnkey contracts upto Rs.40.00 Crores.

  • In case of partial turnkey contracts, value of the material supplied by the Company shall be subtracted / deducted.

  • P.V. clause will be incorporated in the tender only for the items undergoing changes as per (IEEMA).

- IDC to be considered on total project cost and not in cost data.
